Transform the material of your life into a story that will resonate for readers. Bestselling author Julie Metz will lead you on a reflective journey through your own turning points, past and present, and will facilitate a discussion on ways to develop a memoir project. Students may send a writing sample of a work-in-progress, 5-7 pages maximum, at least two weeks prior to the class date. The first portion of the class will include discussion and writing exercises. After the lunch break there will be a longer writing period, leaving room at the end for group questions. Manuscript submission deadline: July 5.
