Calling all enrolled college students with an interest in the literary arts and community non-profit organizations: Gemini Ink, San Antonio’s literary arts center, has openings for internships in three areas. We offer rewarding opportunities for growing your skills, networking, and participating in free creative writing classes.
Gemini Ink interns support, implement and promote the organization’s literary education programs, class sessions, special events, and outreach projects in the community.

JOB DESCRIPTION, QUALIFICATIONS and BENEFITS
•participate in the creative/development process for support material and marketing strategies
•help promote classes/workshops/events/programs
•organize and handle social media efforts
•create and distribute e-blasts
•assist with writing/proofreading material
•communicate to media as needed
•conduct market research
•develop and distribute promotional material
•assist with event planning, logistics and setup
•conduct grant research
•assist with fund raising projects
•proofread grant proposals
•assist with in-kind donations
•attend classes, workshops, events as needed
•assist in the preparation and organization of material
•help to setup, open and/or close classes/workshops
•take digital pictures/videos as needed
•input evaluation data
(NOTE: Includes some evening/weekend work.)
•periodically handle front desk/answer phones/greet visitors
•run business errands
•help with office upkeep
•inventory supplies as needed
•Currently enrolled in a degree program in marketing, communications, public relations, literature or liberal arts.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
•Must be able to work at least 10 hours a week.
• Proficiency with MAC and/or PC; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; some working knowledge of Adobe Suite is a PLUS.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
