Sarah Colby

Administrative Support

Sarah Colby was born in northern New Mexico and raised in the Rocky Mountains. She is married to an active-duty Chaplain in the U.S Army and is mother to a son in the Navy. Sarah has an MFA in Creative Writing from Sierra Nevada College and an exuberant interest in making the ordinary luminous. Her wartime experiences have motivated her to be a voice for the mostly untold stories of families and loved ones during these years of protracted conflict. She is currently working on a manuscript of poems about her wartime experiences. Sarah has been published in the Segullah Journal, the Sierra Nevada MFA Creative Writing blog, Gemini Magazine Poetry Open, New Millennium Writings and VIA Poetry on the Move. She, her husband, and their two cats are delighted to have found a home in warm and welcoming San Antonio, Texas.
