The Transformative Power of Storytelling: A Memoir Workshop

April 11 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

A “book” requires a whole village to create and to be appreciated. In this generative workshop, examine the healing medicine that is storytelling and consider the potential offered by its transformative capacity. Learn how an individual narrative can resonate out into a larger community with powerful results. Translate journal writings into memoir, develop strategies for mining unreliable memories, and expand your sense of what your writing can accomplish and for whom. Publishing possibilities, community outreach, and creative sustainability will also be explored.

This is a multi-session workshop. Classes take place on Wednesdays, April 11, 18, 25, & May 2, 9, 16.
