Gemini Ink and Trinity University Press join together to present a series of classes and lectures created around the vital life of the written word. This event takes place at The Trinity University Holt Center, 106 Oakmont Court.

Join us for a talk with two noted authors who’ve written extensively on disability poetics and the body. Celebrate our flesh-and-blood existence on the most ghostly night of all!

Creative Entrepreneurship: Methods for Gaining Self-Sufficiency as a Writer in the 21st Century

kenny-fries-400x600Kenny Fries is the author of In the Province of the Gods, The History of My Shoes and the Evolution of Darwin’s Theory and Body, Remember. He edited Staring Back: The Disability Experience from the Inside Out. His books of poems include In the Gardens of Japan, Desert Walking, and Anesthesia and he was commissioned by Houston Grand Opera to write the libretto for The Memory Stone. He received the Creative Capital literature grant, the Creative Arts Fellowship from the Japan/US Friendship Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, and was twice a Fulbright Scholar (Japan and Germany). He teaches in the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Goddard College.
