As San Antonio’s Writing Arts Center, Gemini Ink cares deeply about supporting the diverse voices of our city and our country. We are truly saddened and troubled by the violent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others before them. We offer solidarity and whatever solace or resources we can to empower our community. These tragic stories shake us down to our bones and remind us that our job is never done—to bring genuine change to our country, to oppose discriminatory behavior of all kinds, and to celebrate and empower silenced and under-represented voices everywhere. At Gemini Ink, we fundamentally believe in writing as an agent of change and seek to create inclusive, innovative spaces for San Antonians through the writing arts, but we are always learning and evolving.
