He is the author of Clowns and Rats Scare Me and More Finish Lines to Cross and was inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters in 2017. \nAll donations support the Cary Clack Scholarship Fund—honoring San Antonio journalist Cary Clack by granting free writing classes to new storytellers.
