Join our Creative Team
We’re currently accepting internship applications for the fall semester of 2020. The deadline to apply is August 1st (Currently, our internships are remote due to Covid-19). Our internships offer rewarding opportunities for growing your skills, networking, as well as participating in free creative writing classes. Gemini Ink interns support, implement and promote the organization’s writing programs, class sessions, special events and outreach projects throughout the San Antonio community. All internships have set schedules and require regular attendance.
To apply for an internship, please complete the Intern Application and submit it with a cover letter, resume, and 3-page writing sample to the program of your choice. All internships offer a flexible schedule of 10-15 hours per week. Internships are unpaid.
Assist in promoting and marketing Gemini Ink classes and events; perform general office duties such as updating online calendars; researching media placement opportunities; pitching media stories; documenting Gemini Ink events and classes; and working as part of the staff team for special events.
Qualifications: Excellent grammar and writing skills are required. Proficiency with MAC and/or PC, knowledge of MS Office.
Majors: Marketing/PR, English, Education or related.

Assist in coordinating various aspects of Gemini Ink classes and events, provide general office support, provide in-town transportation for out-of-town faculty, act as class proctor (requires working some evenings and weekends). Classes can be taken in exchange for proctoring. Research and recommend potential faculty, and work as part of the staff team for special events.
Qualifications: Excellent grammar, writing and editing skills are required. Proficiency with MAC and/or PC, knowledge of MS Office. Candidate should have a passion for the literary arts as well as a strong interest and background in at least one of the following areas: project planning, education, research, evaluation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Majors: English, Language Arts, Education, Creative Writing, or related.

Build your network and strengthen your skills by volunteering at San Antonio’s literary arts center. Gemini Ink offers volunteer positions on an ongoing basis. We regularly need help with our Autograph Series, Inkstravaganza, and Writers Conference programming.
