A Night of Poetry with Alexandra van de Kamp & Natalia Treviño, followed by a Community Open Mic

Fri, June 17, 6-8pm
In-Person
The Poetic Republic Cafe, 2330 S. Presa St
Free & Open to the Public

Join Gemini Ink this coming Friday, June 17th, for a night of poetry and literary celebration as we kick off the summer with our first in-person poetry event at the perfectly named (if we may say so ourselves) Poetic Republic Cafe! We’d love you to join us and sip some coffee or wine as you enjoy literary community in this inviting and welcoming space, created “for people to connect, engage, and create memorable moments” according to our awesome hosts and their wonderful manifesto

The night will begin with two featured poets: Executive Director of Gemini Ink, Alexandra van de Kamp, reading from her new collection of poems Ricochet Script, and award-winning, always-riveting, San Antonio poet Natalia Treviño, who will be reading from recent work.

Following the featured readers, we’d love to hear from you! Share your blazingly new words, poetic explorations, stories or snippets of stories, and more (there will be a 3-minute limit for each reader) during our community open mic. Sign-up in person, starting at 5:45pm.

We can’t think of a better way to start off the weekend, and would love to start it off with you!
