Crafting the Short Story: Idea to Final Draft

The best short stories, despite their brevity, leave readers inspired, questioning, changed. In this workshop, we’ll dive under the hood to see what makes good stories tick. Together we’ll go beyond book knowledge to explore every stage of short story development, and cover lessons valuable to writers at all skill levels. During the course of two 2-hour sessions, and through one-on-one Zoom meetings with the instructor, students will isolate and develop their own story, then move from the first draft through the revision stage to the final draft.
