(Poetry) Slam 101 is a performance and generative workshop that will examine the background and history of slam poetry as an event and competitive form. Participants will create work for the slam/competitive stage, learn editing strategies for work intended for the slam stage, collaborate on team or “group poems”, and receive instant feedback on written work and performances and strategies (examples and coaching) for the slam stage.
This class is designed for most writers (15 years old – adult) of any experience level.
