Spring is upon us and we are excited to help our writing family thrive and breathe new life into their stories. Please join Gemini Ink on Thursday, February 24th at 6:30pm CST, for a virtual open house. Come meet many of the writers teaching our spring workshops, and find out all you need to know about upcoming free readings and events. Don’t miss this sneak peek into what Gemini Ink is offering virtually and in-person to meet you where you are, from classes on TV writing, the art of creating authentic dialogue, and rebooting your poetry practice to lectures on the business side of the writing life. All are designed to give you the writing tools you need to cultivate new literary spaces in your life and work.

The night kicks off with our teaching artists offering insights into their spring workshops, followed by an open mic. Featured writers include screenplay pro, journalist and award-winning novelist, Bill Sibley; Alaska’s fiddling poet and touring performer, Ken Waldman; New Mexico Book Award winner and editor, Veronica Golos; TEDx speaker for the Fearless Women Series and adult fiction author Johnnie Bernhard; inaugural recipient of the Harlequin Creator Fund for Television Writing, Amie Charney; and Gemini Ink’s very own Open Writers’ Lab Facilitator for more than 20 years, Dario Beníquez, just out with his debut poetry collection from FlowerSong Press.

Our Emcee Mandy Lynn, Gemini Ink’s new Public Class Coordinator and a member of San Antonio’s National PuroSlam team, will guide us through the night’s program. Let’s welcome her to the virtual stage!
