Last week at Montgomery Elementary, Gemini Ink teaching artist Daniel Ramirez performed his shadow puppet play, “La Nopalesa Courage,” for students on the last day of their workshop. The play is an original folktale that tells the story of how Serpiente, a scared and bashful snake, morphs into the rattlesnake we know today. He had help from teaching artist Sarah Colby and Gemini Ink director of programs Florinda Flores-Brown!
