Bowden Elementary Broadsides
We love promoting our young writers!! Happy #pubdate to our Bowden Elementary students who composed poems in our workshop on Community and Stories from Home last spring, 2021. Our teaching artists provided 18 hours of instruction in creative writing to a group of 3rd & 4th graders. They guided students through the study of mentor texts that focused on the author’s intent and through various imaginative writing prompts students learned how to effectively share their work with others. The final product was this whimsical collection of odes on printed broadsides.
